I have acquired a 90mm/f6.8 Angulon (S/n 4896112) in a Synchro Compur-P shutter.

I had the shutter CLA'd by a competent technician in 201 and put it away hoping to get a TravelWide. Well the TW is on the way and I'm fondeling the lens in anticipation.

My question: I HAVE NOTICED THAT THE COCKING EFFORT BECOMES STIFFER AS THE SHUTTER SPEED IS INCREASED FROM 1/50TH ON UP, UNTILL AT 1/500TH IT IS QUITE STIFF. iS THIS NORMAL FOR THIS SHUTTER?

Yes.

But without one of mine in my hands I can't remember if cocking it, then rotating to the higher speeds helps. I think it does. So few people try using them at the top speed it won't get discussed much.

Yes, normal.
