I have a Dallmeyer Pentac 10" f/2.9 that has a serial number of 125xxx.

To my understanding Pentac design was introduced in 1919. But this serial number dates the lens to end of 1913?

Does anyone actually know anything about this lens? It's common, but there is no information on it anywhere?

Try a search. http://www.largeformatphotography.info/forum/showthread.php?107095-Dallmeyer-Pentac-f-10-quot-f-2-9

Don't worry about searching for a 10", the more common 8" has a lot of data, and is the same lens, just a tad shorter.

A lot of different things were used in the first World War, for aerial reconnaissance. Some designs were just tried for a few cameras, then other designs took over. But WWII, the 8" was the standard, I believe.

Whose chronology are you using? The VM says "No121,xxx was about 1927." Per P-H Pont's Dallmeyer chronology, 1930-1933.

The OP's lens was probably on an Eagle Aero Camera, don't you think?
