I would love to see results of using Wollensak Vitax 400mm F3.8 @3.8 on 11x14 or 12x16

Please do not write about diagonal of frame and vignetting, because I know about this, I`m conscious user.

I appreciate any help, thank you very much.

I did some 3/4 portrait 11x14 wet plates and it covered fine. I didn't like it for close up portraits because of the shorter Focal Length. It definitely vignettes at infinity but not that bad. I sold it rather quickly as I picked up a Dallmeyer 5d petzval and that became my goto 11x14 lens.

Here's a link to an 11x14 wet plate shot on the 16 inch vitax stopped down a bit. Shot by my friend Daniel Carrillo in Seattle. gives a bit of an idea.

I was watching his listing, it was 2 years ago? Yes this is look of image what i`m looking for. On 12x16 will be great, lot of vignetting and wide! This is what i`m looking for. Thanks!

That's great if you are looking for vignetting and stuff. You have more options. The Bausch and Lomb 16 inch petzvals which come rebranded in many different names come to mind.

My destination lens probably will be Dallmeyer 3A or 4B - I found one 3A for 1200USD but someone was faster - waiting for another chance.

The 3a is my fave lens on 8x10. you may also look for the 4d. a little slower but a nice 17 inch FL. 1200 usd is a good price for a 3a that's what I paid 3.5 years ago for mine.

I have 4d as well. My fave lens for 8x10 is dallmeyer 2b non-patent this a little bit faster version without softfocus.
