I apologize if this question is answered elsewhere on the site, but I can't find it, probably because this is such an old lens. It's marked as a 300cm lens, not 12 inch. I know it has big coverage, but I have been a 4x5 person for years, and only used it on that, so I was not pushing it, even a little. I understand that this lens would easily also cover 8x10, but what about larger? Would it cover 7x17 or 8x20? I'm having those expensive thoughts about ULF....thanks. John

300 cm??? Or 30 cm?

The one I had covered my 8X20 just barely. Corners were getting degraded a bit but not vignetted. Is it f6.8 or f7.7? I think the earliest Dopp. Anastigmat Goerz were f7.7 and they are reputed to have even more coverage. Mine was a 1920's - 30's f6.8 12" (305mm).

My lens is f6.8, and is marked 30cm (same as 300mm). Sounds like mine is similar to Jim's, but not exactly the same, as it's 300mm vs 305, or 12" if one prefers.

I don't know about the Goerz Berlin Dagor. I have a 12" f/6.8 Goerz Dagor, Serial # 314481, that will cover 12X20. Just barely, and performance on the corners is not great.

Actual coverage of Dagors, in contrast to the published literature, tends to vary quite a bit.
