So a while back I decided to search out a vendor for Velvia50 sheet film, made contact with a guy in Japan and now I organize group buys of the film.

Fuji will have a price hike very soon (possibly the beginning of next month) and so I'm organizing one last group buy.

Here is my FB page that I created to help organize everything.

https://www.facebook.com/8x10Velvia50

If you are not on FB that's ok, you should still be able to view the information and pricing.

There are also some choice Japan only films I can inquire about prices on, but this is mostly about ...

8x10 Velvia50
4x5 Velvia50
8x10 Acros100

Please, if you're interested, and you have FB, message me on the page (no space limits, and it helps me organize better)

If you are not on FB feel free to message me here.

The page has pricing and a list of the other films which include Velvia100f in rolls and sheets, Provia400X 120 and a plethora of Fuji 220 options... Yes 220!!

All of which are going to be discontinued officially even in Japan within the next 4-6 months or so but I'm told are all still available there now still.

Don't miss out! I'll most likely make the official order by the end of the week!

My pricing is decent (I don't make much as I'm buying retail from japan) but when you factor in shipping I still beat most of the other online guys pricing.

Thanks!

~Stone

Can still get 400X?? I love that film.

I got a message from the vendor that Fuji had sent them a a discontinuation notice. It reads as if it's still made and will continue to be made until December 2015 but only for Japan.

Here's the full quote from the email.

"Hello
This mail is sent to customers who inquired sheet films to us.
We had the information from FUJI Film about price revision and discontinue of some films.
They will mark-up films as the cost up by decrease of consumption.
The price is marked-up ave.+20% after Oct, 2015
And these films will be discontinued after Apr,2016 or before it.
PRO 160 NS / 220
PROVIA 100F / 220
VELVIA 100 / 220
VELVIA 50 / 220
VELVIA 100F / CUT (4x5,8x10)
PROVIA 400F / 135, 120 (after Dec,2015)"

I'm assuming they mean 400X not 400F which has been long gone to my knowledge.

I'll ask and let you know.

Sorry, I just started shooting 4x5 this year and rarely shoot color.

If I am reading this right, the vendor/Fuji is indicating that after Apr 2016 they expect Velvia 50 (4x5, 8x10) and these other color sheet films to be discontinued?
Wonder if this affects MF and 35mm Fuji color films as well...to the search function, perhaps already a thread about all of this.

Thanks, Stone. What is the price for Velvia 50 in 220?

Looks like most 120 film will still be around, along with sheets of Provia 100F chrome film and 160 color neg (though apparently not available here in sheets, that
I'm aware of). 220 is uncommon anyway, overall.

You're reading one thing wrong.

Velvia50 and Acros100 are NOT being discontinued, just the other listed films in the formats listed only.

Which means all 220 film will be discontinued as will all formats of Velvia100f and all formats of 400X

That's it, everything else is still available.

Thanks, Stone. What is the price for Velvia 50 in 220?

Still checking on roll prices

Yes that's correct, also Velvia100 will remain as will Velvia50 and Acros100 in sheets. So we are safe there.
