Borrowing a friend's 305mm f9 G-Claron in Copal 1 and it is missing the rear cap. Hope someone can share what size it is. Can't seem to find it on the web. I'd like to order him one. Thanks in advance.

Hey Thom

Looks like it's 74mm ID and the Schneider cap # is SN223/28.1

Hi, there's 2 versions of g-claron...
sorry but I think the 74mm, as quoted above, is a typo

the older version g-claron has a front filter thread of 58mm and both the front and rear caps are 60mm push on eg Schneider cap "SN 223/27" fits [this version doesn't fit a copal #1]

the newer version g-claron has a front filter thread of 67mm, the front cap is 70mm push on eg "SN 223-29" and the rear cap is a 65mm push on, the rear cap on mine is unbranded but has "SN 223/28" on inside

I just tried to upload the pdf files of the Schneider data but they're too big for forum upload limits

You are correct the OD of the rear cell of my G Claron SN 14231742 is ((64mm))) not 74mm. My Schneider cap does read SN 223/28.1.

Sorry about miss information.

((64mm))).
sure that ain't "(((65)))"? I just measured the rear cell on mine as 65mm diameter and the Schneider data says it should be 65

It could be Andrew. I was trying to do a brother a favor not mislead him.

65mm it is.
