I am looking for suggestions on a light weight 4X5 with a bellows extension of 300mm to 400mm, I hike in the mountains and currently heft a Technika IV which is a great camera and robust - but I would like to find something lighter and with a longer bellows.

Thanks
Peter

I like the Chamonix 045N-2 (http://www.chamonixviewcamera.com/45.html)

It has 395mm extension plus you can add a 155mm extension rail and the standard bellows is made to accommodate it. If you add a 100mm top-hat extension board that's a total of 650mm extension. You can also use a bag bellows for ultra-wide lenses. Mine will focus a 38mm SAXL on a flat board.

Canham dlc45. 2.13kg. 20.5" bellows. Can use quite short lenses with standard bellows.

The Intrepid Camera is a lightweight 4x5 that is certainly priced right. I am not sure it meets all of your needs, and it certainly isn't as fancy looking as the Canham is, but it does handle lenses from 90-300mm.
