Sinar Copal Shutter--anybody using short wa lenses

I have acquired a Sinar Norma Copal shutter and am wondering if anybody is using one on 10 x 8 whilst maintaining coverage with relatively short lenses such as 8" series 7b TTH,(which is in a small barrel).
