This lens has a marking for F63. No joke, copal #3.

Whoever made the aperture scale for that lens goofed.

Maybe a snub at the f64 aesthetic/movement?

That is definitely... Very, very interesting!

The engraver looked at the maximum aperture of the lens and goofed.

Not a mistake, it is engraved in two places. It is the maximum lens aperture.

Look between f-45 and f-90. 63. I can tell the difference between 6.3, 6.3 and 63.

As in from a Fujinon 250mm f6.3? And this is unusual how?

Look between f/45 and f/90 on the aperture scale... f/64 truly is marked f/63. Sometimes commercial quality control fails at every level. :-)

Maybe it's us who have been wrong all this time.

There is too much diffraction at f:64 so it was just a suggestion.

Yep, that would be either a goof or a snub aimed at the f/64 group.

Sort of like a woman lying about her age... always 39!! :D

Which one of the lines is for f/634532?

You're going to have to adjust your exposure by several nanoseconds.

It's just the new anti inflation government mandated F stop sequence - 22, 32, 45, 63, 90;-) 44 or 89 could be next!

Look how tight it is for 63! I don't think you could squeeze one more in there.

More rare than a "double die" minted coin.

Probably thought 634532 would be more readable than 644532.

makes perfect sense... if you're meter says f64 but you want "just that little bit extra" you can go to f63

like going up to 11?
exactly...
but if you want mega cool go look at a Fender Champion 600 Amp, it goes to 12 !
and that would be 2 Watts into a 6" speaker ;-)
