View Full Version : How much a 30 cm heliar should weighs ?
I have found an heliar ?0 cm but it is supposed to be a 50 cm f/4,5 but as fas as I know it doesn't exist, it should be a 30 cm or a 60 cm, probably a 30 cm... so knowing the weighs of a 30 cm could help to identify which lens it is...
Thank you for your help.

2 or 3 pounds in shutter I'm guessing.. I'll weigh it when I get home
3 pounds / 6ounces - with a #5 compound shutter
So it must be a 30 cm, thank you, Thierry M.L.

Measuring the lens glass diameter will also sort out this question quickly. A 60cm heliar has glass that is substantially larger than the 30cm.
Cheers

"Measuring the lens glass diameter" on a photo without reference it is not so easy... but it is definitivly a 30 cm...
Thank you.
