I have moved this from the D5 thread as it is a D3.

Just a follow up............One track has 92S stamped on it and the other 102M. Not sure what focal length they are for?

hi dave

i googled " focus track numbers omega D3 enlarger " and came up with:

https://www.google.com/search?client=safari&rls=en&q=focus+track+numbers+omega+D3+enlarger&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8

also came up with this from harry taylor ( classic-enlarger.com )'s help forum

http://www.classic-enlargers.com/cgi-bin/yabb2_enlargers/YaBB.pl?num=1091743764

"Focusing tracks were marked two or three different ways.

Some were plainly marked for the lens and focal length they matched, and others had some cryptic marking that may have been some sort of order number"

i have a d3 ( mill contract ) and i stopped using the focus tracks and cones with mine, and opted for the auxillery focus attachment ( adjustable bellows )
even though it is actually meant for reductions / jewel print, it works fine for me.

goodluck !

Thanks for that John....It seems that the numbering of the tracks needs a de-sphering machine to make any sense of them!

I really want to retain the auto focus (not because I think it is a brilliant system, more that....the D3 was designed to be so) I'll have to have a look in the firms workshop and see if I can 'borrow' some 1.5mm aluminium sheet and make my own!

My main priority is for a 105mm Companon ....Paper templates would be good ...At least that would give a rough starting point.

On previous enlargers I have made sunken lens panels using plastic waste pipe, so cones could be made that way as well.

KHB has your focus track for the 105mm lens. They also show pictures of various other tracks, maybe you can match yours to the pictures.

Thanks for the info Guys....I have asked Harry on his site but have not had any response yet.

Being based in London UK.....I will probably make my own track out of 1.5mm aluminium strip as $75 Canadian plus postage plus import duty will make it expensive.

I have two 50mm cones a 60mm, 100mm and two flat boards as well as three 120mm diameter condenser assemblies (also larger one for 5"X4") as well as 35mm to 5"X4" negative carriers. The only one I don't have is a 6X7cm one which is the one I really need !!!!!

Cheers Dave
