i am looking for somewhere in europe to make large mural c-prints (160 cm which is larger than standard light jet and lambda), as this is not possible where i live in spain i was wondering if anyone knows of a good place elsewhere in europe.

somebody is doing good work at these sizes as candida hofers prints look great.

thanks

Try also Fachcolor Bühler (http://www.fachcolorbuehler.de/). They can print up to 182x306cm, they are cheaper than Grieger.

Adrian,
she shoots 6x6 mf doesn't she?? How does she get to 160x160 from that? I'm not really happy at 1m x1m from 6x6

Jools,

For MF - I am really thinking it's all in the lenses - for hers I'm guessing on a Hasselblad? (or maybe a Rollei SLR?)

With the very best lenses I think it is possible to go up to 1m2 and to get that kind of look that you mean.

I know in the past I have been convinced a big Paul Graham print was atleast from 4x5 - but they were from the incredible Nikkor lenses on the Plaubel Makina 67's (I know you hate the rangefinders and the Makinas are hard to repair now, but just an example - it's the lenses).

By comparison, with 4x5 it's much easier to get the same sort of results with a much less spectacular lens (lots of other trade offs though)

Funny you should mention the plaubel, there is one going in my local pro-shop - about the same price as a new mamiya 7!
