Hi all,
Although I do like the performance and overall quality of the latest Schneider loupes, their strap fixation mechanism is annoying. The loupe strap may come off if you touch the release mechanism slightly and even more so, if it gets weaker over time.
A while back I promised Ari to post my modification. Here it is. Hope that it may help other users as well.
(1) Remove the darker grey fitting carefully (flexing and wobbling may help).
(2) Replace plastic clip by small bar (here: aluminium).
(3) Glue fitting back in (using small amount of superglue).
(4) Use whatever cord or strap you like.
