devere lens

Hi,
does anyone know what lenses the old devere enlargers used for 5x7?I have just bought a devere 705s enlarger to do 5x7 but it only has an 80mm lens.i have read horror stories here about trying to fit a non standard lense to 5x7 omega enlargers. Thanks,

My 5x7 enlarger had a 190mm lens as the standard.

Something in the 180-240 range should work fine. Make sure to check thread size. The de Vere manual is worth running down.

On a 507 you'd need a 1921 Series 500 flat panel with the threads cut for your lens. A 180 Rodagon/Componon S or such should work just fine for 5x7 or 4x5. Not sure if the older 705's used the same lens panels though. L
