Other Post-Production Programs and Printing

Hi I am a student and we were discussing in class if there was a difference in printing with different programs to say an Epson 3880 printer. Do all programs produce the same quality print and exactly how does that work?

are you talking about imaging applications like Photoshop and Lightroom?

At the very least you need programs that utilize color management well, allowing you to select profiles for your printer and paper.
