In a recent darkroom purchase I gained a Schneider 1:8/65mm Super-Angulon lens with a Compur #00 shutter. I have a Sinar F2 and am wondering if I will need a recessed lens board, or will a flat board be fine?

Measure your camera's minimum extension (front of lens board to front of ground glass). Or look it up in the manual if you have the manual. Then go here: https://www.schneideroptics.com/info/vintage_lens_data/large_format_lenses/super-angulon/data/8-65mm.html to see whether the camera's minimum is too long.

Would that be the flange focal distance?
