I assumed the idea of putting fast aero lenses on Speed Graphics was relatively new. Maybe from 10 years ago, or 15 even. I found this 1948 advertisement for the K-24 cameras and 7" Aero Ektars, "This is the lens that has proved so popular among professional and freelance 4x5 Graphic users!" They weren't cheap either.

Bryan, in those days men were men and so were women. Boys and girls, too.

The verbiage is just funny to me.
Interesting they valued the camera at only $20 when bought with the lens.

No, but paper was!
10x10 Kodak Contact Chloride single-weight paper [Azo??] $2.00 or less per gross.
