Hello,
Can anyone help with assigning a value to these lenses? It is really hard to track down reliable information.
1. RJ Beck No 478 WH Walmsey and Company Philadelphia sole American Agents 8x0 Rectalinear Lens in a beautiful brass housing with engraved brass cap with some kind of oriental like landscape on it. Exquisite!
2. Dallmeyer London Adon No2 Ser X no 88945 F/6-45. I think that this is kind of view camera zoom.
Please go to APUG to view photos. Like usual trouble with loading photos.

Why? Do you want to sell these? Aren't you interested in using them?

The Camera and Camera Accessories forum is not intended for sales advice (as far as I know)...

The classified ads may not be the perfect place to ask for advice either if the OP isn't yet ready to sell. It's also possible he/she chooses not to sell on forums but sell elsewhere.:)

Sorry, but I know nothing about these lenses.

I have asked the mod on duty to move this to the lens section.

There has been a bit of a rumpus about valuations here in the last week.

Demand/Interest in early tele attachments is pretty non-existent!
Large RR's covering 8x10 do have general interest, but Beck doesn't have the sex appeal of Dallmeyer or Steinheil ( although it might, in fact, be the Steinheil design). Ebay will have some results for sold 8x10 (18x24cm) in the last few months.

I see you asked about the adon on 1st Dcember 2008!!

Sorry I did not mean to raise a ruckus. I am not advertising them here and if I do I will post in the classifieds. I am trying to work out a price with a private party and information is difficult to come by. Where else would be a better place to try than here?

Arthur, if you want to be fair to the other party, decide how little you will take for each lens, post them on eBay with those prices as opening bids and let the market, including your prospective private, party decide.

That's what I would do...

Good suggestion. I was hoping to keep the process simple but this may be my only option. If anyone else wants to contribute it would be great!
