Just unpacked this wonder...

It looks like a super old half/full plate camera converted to take modern 8X10 holders.

No swings or shifts, but as a result it is fairly rigid.

The best part is it takes 4X4 boards :)

Anyone who might know the style/make, feel free to let me know.

Do not know, but I like the big easy-to-read "ONE" on the film holder's slide!!

Does the front standard tilt forward at all? Looks like it does.

I think the front does not have any forward tilt. The rear strut has 2 cut outs for what i am guessing is 2 presets for wide angle lenses with the bed tilted down.
The front assembly can rack in both directions, and the rear standard can slide forward.

The back is different, too--especially the springs. The location of the front rise knob is unusual on a compact camera.... In any event, congrats on scoring such a cool vintage camera!

How about the Scovill Albion, which went through several variations. Variation 1 has a somewhat similar front to yours, variation 2 has brass along the sides of the base like yours...maybe with a Rochester 8x10 back added...

I don't think the knobs look quite right, though.

My understanding is many of the manufacturers continued to use parts from earlier versions during model changes until those parts were used up....

I think i agree with you on the last post. the albion II looks the closes, with minor differences.
The back and base plate are not original to the camera for sure and are later additions.
