I seem to have an issue with my flash setup.
I recently bought an x-sync cable and an accessory (http://www.amazon.it/gp/product/B00005LEP9?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00) adapter to be able to use my Leica SF24D flash on my Plaubel Makina 67.
Before wasting any film I have tried connecting the other end to a LF lens (2 in fact) and also to the Sekonic light meter with no success.
The flash doesn't trigger at all.
I wonder where am I doing wrong.

I have noticed on some cheap Chinese flash accessories things fit loosely enough that the center pin on the flash won't reach down all the way to the contact in the shoe unless you press the flash downwards against the shoe manually to make contact, and sometimes not even then. You might even be able to look in and see a gap between the pin and the contact. So, try pressing the flash down, and see if that helps.

There's no center contact so it's not a hot shoe, therefore a flash slid into it will not fire.
What it does do, is slide into a camera hot shoe, and provide a pc socket.

Right, that adapter is the wrong way around - it will supply a hot shoe only camera with a PC socket, to attach a cable only flash to it. You'd need the inverse one, to attach a PC cable to a hot shoe only flash.

Whoops===I missed that. Bad me. ds is right: wrong shoe for what you want to do. The one you want has a cord permanently attached. This one: http://www.amazon.it/Hama-Adattatore-flash-2-cavo/dp/B00006JAII/

I have to admit that the one I bought is a bit dodgy then. I see what you can use it for but why not replicating the hot shoe above as well?!?...
