Hello!

I can buy a Colenta 90 Processor. I can't find any information about this machine, but pictures can by find there:

Is it worth buying for developing BW sheets and papers, and (maybe in future) e-6/c-41 sheets?

regards,

maciek

Maciek,

I used one of these several years ago at work. In my opinion, it was a finicky machine. Much care has to be taken to see that the solenoids and rubber stoppers in the chemical "pods" are maintained. Otherwise the chemicals leak into, or fail to go into the main processing/ agitation area. The solenoids are also subject to corrosion from condensation during warm-up period.

If you process film, be sure to remove a small strip of hair like emultion at either end of the film. If not, this will dry onto the film.

It was also my feeling that the film was over-agitated and therefore more grainy than if it was tray processed.

We eventually dispositioned the processor and sent all our film out for dip-n-dunk processing which was much better.

Sincerely,

Brian J.
