Posting Larger Pictures

Yesterday I posted pictures for the first time. I sized them to 7" in the long dimension at 72 dpi. When posted the images were only a couple of inches tall. How does one go about posting images that display larger? See example below.

Members can see the picture at 7" if they click it. If you want it to be shown larger inline, then you have to host it yourself and link to it, as described in the FAQ ( http://www.largeformatphotography.info/forum/faq.php?faq=vb_faq#faq_picturelfpf )
