I was wandering around Tokyo and saw this lens. The camera shop guys don't know much about it. I know about commercial ektars, but the condition of this lens? Slow shutter speeds seem accurate, there seems to be a little bit of fungus.

The fungus you see are the little dark grey spots? Most of fungus I came accros with this size were cleanable, what what I don't know what iit is are the "washed out" marks on the coating in the front cell, maybe just reflection - 3rd pic,
Cheers,
Renato

The price is a bit high, considering that the shutter may need a CLA.

Buy it and enjoy it.
If slow shutter speeds seem ok, you should count your blessings, these shutters are notorious for being difficult at slow or fast speeds.
The price is bang on for a 14" CE in such nice shape, the serial number indicates it was made in 1955.
Buy it, they are wonderful lenses.
