Greetings, everyone!

I love this forum. I have learned a great deal from the various discussions over the years. There are more experienced, knowledgeable photographers willing to share their expertise than anywhere else I've been. Further, many members here are my clients, and they have been very vocal with their support. Along with the others who posted their appreciation in a thread recently in the Lounge, I too am thankful to QT Luong, the other providers and all the moderators who have taken their time to make this a terrific place.

In sincere appreciation of just how great this place is, I have decided to do my part and give everyone here a break.

From now until Thanksgiving I will offer every member a 20% discount on medium and large format scanning services.

You can now get all those great images you took over the summer scanned at high resolution for a bit less. I know there are some of you who have wanted to try a drum scan - and maybe this is the right time. I look forward to seeing what you all have been up to.

Warmest Regards,

Lenny

That's a great offer, Lenny! I'm going to send you some film, and I encourage others to do so as well.

Hello Lenny,

I haven't had any drum scans done since before the economy collapsed in 2008 whence I put my barely started photography print business back to sleep except for my web site and went back to Hi Tech career work. But since then have still been doing lots of field work since it is my passion. Thus have built up more than 100 Provia 4x5 transparencies that will eventually need drum scanning. That is all the images in my Gallery_B.

Recently began working with WCI again for small prints but am interested in seeing what you can do with one of my slides versus their Tango work. I have reason to occasionally drive up your ways from down here in the South Bay in order to visit Sonoma Coast State Beach where I've had an ongoing project of photographing close ups of shoreline mélange geology sand and stones. So if your workload slows at some point, I would be interested in bringing up some transparencies, seeing your equipment set up, what you are doing, and scans.

How large a negative can you scan?

Scanner does everything up to 8x10. Nothing larger, I'm afraid...

Thanks for asking,

Lenny

Very nice offer Lenny. I like the way you do business and stand for what you believe. I like that you use your real name on forums and for business.

Great work, great advice, great Thanksgiving sale!

I have nothing worth scanning at your level.

I'll work harder. :)

I tried to make this offer six or seven years ago. The mods at the time flatly refused permission for me to make the offer. I thought then, and I think now, that allowing members who contribute to the forum, who also have a service to offer, to periodically make offers like this, is a good thing. It's good for the forum members, and good for the service provider.

Too late for me, but good on Lenny for doing this. Y'all should take advantage of Lenny's offer while you can.

I'll get on board as soon as I have some worthy images; appreciate the offer, Lenny!
