In a recent message (http://www.largeformatphotography.info/forum/showthread.php?116880-October-2014-Portraits&p=1177272&viewfull=1#post1177272) I was told Shanghai film is fabricated in 4x5, 5x7, 8x10, 4x10 and 11x14 sizes, but looking at the Shanghai ShenBei Co., LTD factory site (http://www.smpicgg.com/en/products.php?class_id=166) only the 120 and the 4x5 formats are listed.

Does somebody knows where can I find information about the other sheet sizes?

Thanks.

Its for sale in China on their local equivalent of ebay, Taobao. 5x7 is available occasionally on ebay, but in general you can only get the other sizes in China.

I checked my normal eBay vendor Isaac Chen in Taiwan and they had no Shanghai sheet film listed at all.

Does anyone know what is going on with that?

http://www.ebay.com/sch/Film-/4201/m.html?_nkw=&_armrs=1&_ipg=&_from=&_ssn=isaac.chen

I just sent them a note via eBay asking about this.

I also tried www.Taobao.com but could not find any 4x5 Shanghai film.

Try contacting Vishal Soniji at sales@camerafilmphoto.com. He supplied me with 5x7 Shanghai a few months back.

That is interesting. 4x5 film is on the Australian version of eBay but not on the USA version.

I just sent an email to Isaac Chen asking why.

Thank you for letting me know.

Doesn't matter which version of ebay its listed on, as the shipping cost will be the same. He ships from Taiwan, I think.

Does anyone have a link to 8x10 Shanghai film for sale? Also would anyone have any examples in 8x10 format? I'm curious...I wasn't aware that shanghai made any film besides 120

Domingo - Thanks! But wait are both those links supposed to be referring to the same image? Or am I missing an example?

What about 11x14? I've seen others comment that it's super cheap like $100 a box, anyone know where it's sold? I don't see any on eBay.

I believe it does matter. If y'all had not shown me the Oz link, I never would have known about it.

Not exactly the same image: the first of them is exposed using a Dallmeyer 3B and the second an Heliar.

Yes: I'm also interested to see a link to a place where one could buy a box of 4x10 or 11x14.

I'm kind of confused. When I click on those ebay links I can see the Shanghai film but when I click on the sellers store to try and see more products I don't see the film in their store from the original link...Is anyone else noticing that?

Yes.
It's what ebay's new 'feature' is - previously, you could see stuff listed on other ebay sites on eBay.com.
Now it's exclusive only to US-listed products.(or.Com listedproducts) no UK, ca, Germany, au.

I'm not sure why eBay removed such an obviously useful feature - and not even ask for feedback about it.

That's strange. I get all ebay countries here. An alternative might be to just search the country site.

Yes. Search "Shanghai 4x5 film" in the "Cameras and Photo" sub-menu, and the third result I get is "AU - 25 Sheets Shanghai 4x5 B&W Black & White Film ISO 100 (Exp. 2015 or later)" and the fourth is on Italian e-bay.

I knew someone might start a group buying shanghai films recently. You could book most another common ULF sizes, such as 4x10,11x14, 14x17, 8x20, 12x20, etc.
However, there's a minimum quantity number demand. For instance, I bought 2 boxes 8x20 with other people together earlier this year.

Okay, i'll check again when I'm on the PC - the mobile app still throws up international results, so searching there isnt much of an issue.

I used to see German, uk, Aus etc before dont see any more.
