Getting low on film sleeves and will need to get more soon.

Suggestions on brand, sleeves with a separate diffuser sheet and made of archival plastic that will not slowly rot out the film.

B&H has tons of them. Here's one:

I find these to be the best value safe solution:

I'm not sure what you mean by a "separate diffuser sheet." The ones linked are transluscent; if they're pressed tight against a contained negative, one can see it fairly well.

PS I use them with 5x7; don't know if they're large enough for 13x18.

Hi Bernice,

Would these help? They're clear fold lock sleeves from Archival Methods.

Thanks for posting this Sal. I like the Fold Lock sleeves myself, but the 5x7 ones I linked to seem to only be available in polyester, which happens to be an excellent dust magnet. I think I'll try 'em out when I run out of the fold lock sleeves.

Thanks Sal,

These look like they might work well. I'll order some and give them a try.

The ones form the past were made by Hosho in Japan. These appear similar to the Archival Methods sleeves.

Tried the fold lock sleeves, don't like them at all they are a dust magnet, can scratch film and have a sticky feel to them.

Not wild about the Print file sleeves due to the need to slide the film in which can result in scratches if there is any dirt, dust or ... between the sleeve and film.

I'm pretty picky about what is used for storing film.

I'll add never put an adhesive label on a HD Poly Envelope. They don't offer enough protection.

Have you considered using archival paper v-fold type sleeves?
