i found this in ebay. super angulon 90mm f8.

and it says it is multi coated.

but i think it looks like old super angulon lens.

is this really multicoated?

and why this lens looks different than the other lens?

The lens doesn't say it is multi coated or MC. So who does? It is coated.

Made, probably, in 1963 before multi-coating came in.

No it isn't. I have a newer one than that and mine isn't either. I'm not aware of an exception to the Schneider rule that if it doesn't say so on the lens it isn't. Plus the all blue coating makes it obvious.

I don't think any of the earlier chrome versions were offered with multicoating. The later versions were all black, but even the earliest of those were not multicoated. As mentioned, the later multicoated versions are actually marked as such.

You lucked out. It's not multicoated.

I have a few Super Angulons all coated (but not Multi-coated) and they are remarkably flare free. Schneider's coatings were very good by the time they introduced the Super Angulons.
