I have the Formulary TF-4 fixer at home without hardener. I wanna mix a seperate batch with hardener. Problem is, I happen to have Heico hardener at home, but no longer have Heico fixer.

Can I use this hardener with the Forumlary product?

You can post harden. You'd probably need to rinse well in between. But how long? Just call or e-mail em.

Anyone have tips about post hardening baths? I have some 1970s 1980s film that takes forever to dry, I figure hardening would help.

You can harden emulsion with Formalin, Glyxoal, Chrome Alum or Potassium Alum. Of those Potassium Alum is probably the safest chemical, but maybe not the most effective. Here's a link to a few formulas for hardening baths (http://unblinkingeye.com/Articles/Developers/Hardeners/hardeners.html)
