I have never used instant film with my 4x5. I have a 405 film holder and want to know if Fuji FP-3000b will work with this holder?

I'm not positive, but unless it's designed to I would guess no. The FP-3000B pack is a little over 2 1/4 x 3 1/4 , and about an inch thick.

Fuji FP-3000B 3.25" x 4.25" film packs will work with Fuji PA-145 and Polaroid 405 backs. The 4x5 packs that are used in Fuji PA-45 and Polaroid 550 holders have '45' appended - e.g. Fuji FP-3000B45 and Fuji 100C45.

FP-3000B and FP-100C will work in Polaroid 405 holders. And the plastic holder with the film in it is about 5/8" thick, not an inch (just measured the one sitting on my desk).

Once you get it, you should look at how the 405 holder sits in the back and mark the framelines on the groundglass (or make an overlay, if you prefer not to write on your groundglass).

Note that the image is not centered. If the back is oriented horizontally so the film tabs come out on the right side, the frame will be flush with the right side of the groundglass.
