before i bought mine, i read that the various locking parts on the basic toyo 4x5 occasionally crack.

sure enough, my front focus lock has cracked and become useful only if i've had the precise amount of coffee necessary to cope. lol

barring shooting level subjects on level ground forever, i need to find a replacement part. alas the internets isn't cooperating, and all i can seem to find are references to the problem but not a single place to buy a new lock/standard/block/whatever.

any ideas where can i find a replacement? or is it going to be better to give up hope and sell the thing as-is and figure out another system? (i picked up a cambo around the same time, but never bought a 2nd lens board since they cost money and stuff.)

thanks,
david :)

New parts are still available, contact the MAC group. I bought a replacement bed for a 45CF and it was surprisingly inexpensive at $58.

You can also try eBay for a front or rear standard; I believe your part is identical to the one found on the G standard.
