Does anyone know if a Fujinon 105/8 SW will fit into a folded 4x5 Technika?

Hi James,

While I don't have a Technika, I did once own the Fuji 105/8. It's a big lens, I doubt it will come close to fitting in a folded camera.

No, mine won't fit into my closed-up 5x7 Technika V, so I highly doubt that a 4x5 Technika will fit.

Thanks. Any ideas about the 120 SS HM?

I doubt it. The 120SSHM is in the same size range as the 105SW. Its overall length is about 80mm and it takes 67mm filters. Sorry, but I don't have corresponding info about the 105 Fujinon-SW at hand.

Maybe a 120 Angulon (not Super-Angulon), a 90mm Angulon (mostly getting bought up these days for the Travelwide), 90mm Congo WA, or 108mm Wollensak will do what you want. Maybe also a 100mm Wide-Field Ektar. There are probably others, those are just a few that come immediately to my feeble mind.

If you are looking for a lens in that focal length range; reversed my Fujinon 125mm will fold inside my camera.

It is not a big deal to carry the lens and mount it to the camera once ready to use it. It is exactly one additional step.

Open camera
Attach lens
Pull standard out to proper stop
Focus and Compose and shoot

If the lens could close then the workflow changes to:

Open camera
Pull standard out to proper stop
Focus and Compose and shoot

The time savings is nil.
