I was asked to be part of a show at the Santa Paula Art Museum from July 12 to October 12th. The opening is on the 12th of July from 4:00 to 6:00PM.

The space is in a very nice old historic building in downtown Santa Paula. Many photographic opportunities in town as well.

There will be some gallery talks as well. If you are in the area check it out.

I will have several carbon transfer prints on display.

Congratulations!

Actually that title makes me wonder what is after the pixel. Something will blow away the current tech within your lifetimes, maybe not mine.

Thanks everyone. Nice to get back into things again. A lot has been going on so it is nice to have some work showing again.

Sounds like a nice show! I'm going to be in driving up to Santa Barbara for a wedding on the 18th, hopefully I can find some time that weekend to swing down and check it out.

It is a diverse group of artists. Should be some interesting work and the discussions will be informative. Hope to see some familiar faces there.

The show opened yesterday afternoon and attendance was good. We had a few sales and I had a lot of interest in my work. Two possible pending sales on one of my 8x20's and a 14x17 carbon print. The room is nice and light is good. Show is up through October 12th.

Looks great Jim, good luck with the show! I saw what looks like a wet plate negative in the last pic, is that an illusion or is that the end product or?

Eric there is wet plate work in the show. Luther Gerlach and Lisa Dodge. Lisa shoots 8x10 and Luther had 12x20 and 20x24 plates in the show.

Jim,

Sounds like a lot of fun. Hope you meet some interesting people and find a good home for a few of your prints.

Sandy, thanks. It is always nice to have work hanging. It has been a while. A lot of Life Events have gotten in the way over the last 6 months so it is nice to get back out there. I have two very interested potential buyers of some of my larger work so we shall see.

Wow ... How nice is that ... a local show in a really nice space with other good work that only helps show off your great carbons.

Congrats Jim ... And let me know when you'll be heading into the redwoods again this October.

One question for you ... are you showing your cabon prints with or without glass?

Jim Fitzgerald

Jim, great to hear from you and thanks. Yes, still no glass on the carbon's. If someone want to do so after they buy a print so be it but not me.

I'm thinking the third week of October to see Vaughn and the Redwoods. Curt may come down as well. It would be great to shoot together again.

Looking forward to catching up. I was in a show in Barcelona -- Emerging Focus -- that will also be in Photo l.a. Also, juried into the Florence Biennale.
