1. Has anyone had bad results using Tmax RS, unopened, that is out of date by a year?
2. Any suggestions on development times of the new Tmax 400 using the RS in a small tank, agitating every 30 seconds for 5 seconds?

Thanks for any suggestions and experience.

1) I've used "outdated" TMAX RS, even close to two years out. No effect whatsoever - I use it one shot 1+9, maybe there is an effect when used in a replenishment cycle, but I doubt it. Originally sealed bottles, of course.

2) TMY-2 roll film in TMAX RS 1+9 at 24°C/75F, 5 min pre-rinse, the 1st 30s continuously, then 4 inversions every 30s:

N+2: EI 320, 16:30min
N+1: EI 250, 11:30min
N: EI 250, 8:30min
N-1: EI 160, 6:00min
N-2: EI 125, 4:15min

Use these numbers at your own risk...

Thank you Arne, you have confirmed my suspicions concerning the date issue. I shot the sheet film at EI 333 with the Pentax spotmeter. Kodak data sheet suggests 11 minutes at 1:9, I like your 8.5 minutes @ 75 F.
