Does anyone know if you can substitute C-41 Developer Starter for RA Developer Starter?

Thanks,

Thomas

As far as I know, they have somehow different ingredients. The starters are cheap...

Yeah, I'm also pretty sure they are different. The C-41 starter has a peculiar odor that I don't think the starter has so instead of ruining a printing session I ordered a bottle yesterday. Only $5.25 for an 80oz bottle but $10 for UPS ground. This bottle I bought locally for $10.69 + CA tax but color chemistry is no longer available locally.

Be careful of where you store chemistry! I had this bottle stored in the cabinet directly under the kitchen sink. When you run the hot water the temperature inside the cabinet rises and the salts had somehow evaporated from under the cap and left a thick coat of salt on the outside of the container.

Starters normally last for a long time. But heat certainly does it no good.

I am almost certain that you should not sub the two , I asked this question(fuji) when I found myself without one of them and they told me no.
