Lowepro Omni Trekker anybody???

Is anybody of you using a Lowepro Omni Trekker to carry his large format gear? I have a Linhof Technika, 2 lenses and some film holders. Tids and bits not counted in. Any alternative to the Lowepro?

I use a couple of the older Lowepros, one for 4 x 5 work, the other for sound recording kit. The partitions in the photo pack don't really work for me as the amount of kit in the bag stretches the velcro apart. I have the big dividers stretching up the middle of the bag to provide room for the dark slides, and in use the weight of the camera and lenses at the base of the bag, to keep the weight low down, means that the bag stretches and the velcro loses its grip at the top. All this could perhaps be sorted out if I moved items around.

I have an older LowePro "PhotoTrekker AW" back pack that I have used with a Zone VI 4x5, I was able to pack the camera, three lenses, film holders and everything else in an effective and useful arrangement. The newer models of this line that I have seen seem to have a better system of shoulder straps etc.

when using this bag lately, I tend to use fewer padded dividers but keep many items in protective boxes by PhotoBackPacker. http://www.photobackpacker.com/home.php This entire system is designed for LF phgotography, while most photo bags and cases are set up for medium and smaller formats.

As my creative flow has morphed with age, I have found that the same gear ((pretty much) fits into a LowePro "Magnum 35" shoulder bag—with minimal use of dividers. Its more compact, but just as heavy!

Thank you both for your opinion. I'm rather interested in the versatility of the Omni Trekker. I need a bag I can take over the shoulder and work out of it and if needed use it as a backpack as well for a walk not hiking.
