I'm thinking of selling my 150mm f/2.8 Xenotar, I have no idea what the asking price should be. I've trolled ebay sold listings, but not much help.

It's in good condition, a tiny mark on the rear element, shutter is accurate. Any thoughts?

If it is a true Linhof Select version, you probably will be able to sell it in the upper $1,000, if not lower $2,000 range on Ebay, where the prices for the lens has been slowly inflating over the years.

This is a question that should be under "Lenses, etc" It isn't something your listing, if you don't yet have a price.... No one should be inviting you to list it "elsewhere" before you have made up YOUR mind.

I'm prepared to offer $20 for it. I'll even cover shipping USPS priority.

If you think this is too low, then you kinda know what your price range is. In all seriousness though, I think your asking price should be how much you value it.

But I'm also serious about the $20! :D

Not sure why eBay listings haven't shown you what it's worth.

If you have no idea what to sell it for, consider listing it for $0.99 and let it go from there. No reserve, no BIN option, no nothing. Alternatively, sell it to RawheaD for a price 25% less than the average eBay price, because that's what the fees are going to cost you and a little less for the mark on the rear element. Though you never know, you might get more than you expect with a 99c auction, but it's a gamble.

It would fetch at least $1500 , from the description. Maybe more....

Not that hard to get an idea about price. A quick search of the auction site, filtering for "completed listings" shows that one sold on April 23, 2014, for $1525 (item 191135410103), while another one sold in February for $849 (item 231032688835).

Oh là là! Put this lens on the *bay and asked only the half of the value of the other one listed :) ... 8,000$ on a Buy it Now option. With 12 nice pictures.
And buy LF film with that money!

Surely that's against ebays rules?

Or perhaps you meant "trawled"?

The one that sold for $849 was in a Compur shutter. You're welcome.

It might be a money laundering scheme.
