Hello everyone, I am currently using a calumet Cadet with an Ektar 4.7 127mm lens that I took a Crown Graphic. I like the seize of the lens and its weight but I am frequently running into vignetting in the corners. Can you guys recommend a "cheap" normal-wide lens with adequate Image Circle for 4x5 with about the same dimension and weight as the Ektar 4.7.

Thanks in advace

The 150mm Fujinon 6.3 is about the same size and has about a 200mm image circle. It's a bit longer in focal length, but not much. A similar version called a Fujinar can sometime be found very cheaply. Either one is a very sharp lens with good contrast.

The older, single-coated Fujinon-W 135mm f5.6 (in Seiko shutter) has about the same coverage as the 135mm WF Ektar and is about the same size as the 127 Ektar (which, in my opinion is a great lens except for the coverage). Watch KEH and eBay for the Fujinon (which has the markings on the front-ring rather than the outer barrel.
