I need to go very wide for a photographic report, and while i will be set with my 55 apo grandagon and my Arca Fline 45, i need to shoot 6x9 (too much images, too expensive in 4x5, and anyway i need a 2x3 image ...).
So here comes my question, i've never seen any 38 xl second hand, while i've find two 35 apo grandagon, is there a reason, or shall i buy one of them without hesitation ?
thanks

I do not see any problems with them, just take it!

The Apo-G 35 is superior to the SA 38....USD 800 is a very good price, considered the new price.
Unfortunately you will need a centerfilter for the Rodenstock...not for the 38mm

I work in a pro/fineart camerashop in Copenhagen, Denmark. Almost all of my customers prefer Rodenstock lenses.
I am the official Alpa dealer, and they have tested the Schneider SA XL lenses as...."okay, but not very good"

...go for the Apo-Grandagon !
