I have an agfa ansco 5x7 camera that is on a non folding bed. The front standard is screwed in place and the rear standard is on the usual rack for focusing. The rear standard is a few inches wider than normal as the back slides from side to side to take 2 images per sheet.

At some point in its life the front standard has been modified and is now basically a large hole with no step for a lensboard or fittings to attach one. what I need are some images of how it should look to start restoring it, but without knowing the model, I'm failing to find any images.

Thanks
Bruce

it might help to post an image of what you do have so someone has a chance of telling you the model.
is it one of these? https://www.google.com/search?q=ansco+5x7&client=firefox-a&hs=bAi&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&channel=sb&tbm=isch&tbo=u&source=univ&sa=X&ei=UcRWU_60Js2gyASGhYL4Bg&ved=0CCcQsAQ&biw=1499&bih=823

Jon's camera is shown again on pages 8 & 9 of the 1941 Agfa catalog (http://cameraeccentric.com/html/info/agfa_1.html) at Cameraeccentric.com.

They're pretty rudimentary cameras, but completely competent for the job for which they were designed.

That's it. Thanks, now I know what the front should look like.
