Barbados in August

Would appreciate knowing any favorite spots that any of you may have for photographing in Barbados. I will be there 8 days (after the Crop Over Festival)and am taking 4x5 and 2 1/4. Will be staying in the Oistins area and plan on using the local buses but would rent a car for a day or two if necessary. I'm not much of a landscape person; I much prefer architecture of one sort or another.

Has anyone had trouble with restrictions while using a tripod? Any areas I should avoid? Anything specific I should take that would be especially helpful, given the area?
