Richard Avedon, Evidence 1944-94

Avedon, who died today of a stroke at age 81, had many books of his work published over his 60 year career. One can't buy them all, and I'd like to recommend "Evidence 1944-94" as an excellent combination of hundreds of his images along with informative writing. Hardback and softback available.

Your book recommendation, Bill, made me think of our disappointment ten years hence when we find out that Avedon's death was actually staged by his publisher to boost flagging book sales, and that he continued to live for years on the same remote island as Elvis. ;-)
