Fuji has announced new colour neg films to replace NPS/NPC - more scanner friendly among other things. It will be interesting to see if they bother making it in sheets sizes (maybe 4x5, but 8x10?) The new Astia 100F they announced a year or two ago was supposed to exist alongside "original" Astia - but that seems to have gone by the by. In addition, I don't think anyone can actually find any in 8x10?

Where did you get this information? I can't find any mention of it on their web site.

Yes, I came across that when I was looking - at the time they didn't have it in stock and didn't know if and when when what they had back ordered would arrive. Samy with Sammys. And both cited new, large order minimums from Fuji that came close to ordering such film impractical anyway. I must have chased down half a dozen places I found that had it listed - no one had it in stock.

And up here in Canada, Fuji Canada doesn't even import it.....

I asked Jeff Taugner at Badger about 8x10 Astia and he said it is a special order. I imagine he can get it..EC

Tim, you may try http://shop.ppl.de/index.php4?c=002&cN=Fuji&o1=017&o1N=Filme&o2=170&o2N=Dia&o3=132&o3N=ASTIA in Germany. Last time I ordered from them, I got it in just a few days. And they have the lowest prices I have ever found in Europe. I don't know however whether they will ship to North America and whether it will prove economical for you with shipping costs, etc.

Hope this helps,

Tim, speaking of Sammy's Camera, I often go in there and see shortdated or recently expired Fuji and Kodak 8x10 (50) in special bin for $220. The man you want to speak to is "Bruce" in the film/darkroom department for any of your stuff.

I know you can get 8x10 cheaper off EBay, but this film bin at Samy's is where I would get mine if I shot 8x10.
