I would just put one on the bottom.

Nicely done. I'm curious about your metal press, look to be compact, manually actionned?
I suggest that you try to replicate the box exactly as it is as you have a model. You must care that the light will not leak at the bottom.
Then you will test the box and see if the light is uniform. If it is, no need for a second diffuser as it will cut a lot of light. If you wish to try a second diffuser, the position should not be at top but at the bottom, maybe 1 cm from the other one.

Just a diffuser at the bottom, Having said that some have a curved inner side, so less thick at the edges/sides and thicker in the middle maybe this helps even out illumination, need to check my enlargers are in storage util my new house purchse goes through,
