My Unicolor base runs at about .5 rpm and reverses direction a little over one revolution when using my unicolor film drum.
I use a Beseler 8x10 drum and motor for my 4x5 black and white negs. The motor turns at 60 rpm. I can do 2 sheets at a time using the divider and 3oz. of chemistry. The motor does reverse but, I don't use it.

Oops, I meant 30 rpm (.5 revs per second).

I hope 56 RPM will work???
Thank you
Dave
Check the level of your tube and use a little extra chemistry. I have streaked negs. by not doing this......
Beseler calls for 2oz. of chemistry in the 8x10 drum....I use 3 oz. to keep the development as even as possible. I have been using the same drum and motor since 1993.

In order to assure random distribution, the better machine also rocks using eccentric wheels.
