In the past I've had a "Social Gathering Evening" once or twice a year for photographers to get together and share their latest projects. This year I'm changing it to a Saturday morning, and I'll make the coffee.

If you love photography you're invited. It's a chance to meet other photographers, see what they have been up to and show what you've been up to. This is the first time I'm holding it in the morning. Last year we had 26 people in the evening. Most showed a few prints, one or two had a new book, and one or two had an interesting camera they enjoyed using. It's fun, very casual, you'll see great photographs and meet interesting people. Everyone is encouraged to bring something to show, and I don't mean something from 20 years ago. What are you working on now!

This past year I worked on a series of Street Portraits taken with the 4x10 and I'll have them printed for the cafe.

These are the basic rules; Be Interested, Be Generous with your knowledge, Be Interesting, Connect.

Starts at 9 am, runs till noon, Coffee and tea is on me. 3123 Walkers Line in Burlington, Ontario.

Send me an email if you plan to attend at "skeoch@sympatico.ca"

I wonder if my Volkswagen could make it?
It sounds like a great evening!

I went to the last gathering and it was fantastic. Sadly I won't be in that part of the country this time around which is a shame, as I'd love to see the prints from Rob's 4x10 project.

I think it will be fun.
I watched a movie about Paris in the 20's and how are artists all met for coffee because the coffee shops were warm and their homes were freezing. It seemed like a great sharing of ideas and really pushed art forward. Of course I don't live in Paris but I am getting a new furnace installed this week so it wont be cold. lol.

Rob,

I look forward to your gatherings and expect to be able to attend this year as I will be in the same country and not needing to pick up another enlarger, unlike previous years...

See you then,

Len
