Are Yellow & Magenta filters necessary when doing Contact Printing?

I have a LPL 6700 Color Head enlager to do contanct and normal b&w printing. Can I use the Y & M filters to do contact printing, or do I just use the white light setting?

If I can use the Y & M filters, what setting for Ilford Multigrade IV and Soft Tone papers for low contrast and alternatively high contrast negs to get reasonable results.

There should be no difference between filter settings when projection printing or contact printing.
