I'm coming up blank trying to get info on a lens that is on sale over at ebay. It is a Schneider 210 symmar "EX"that the seller describes as being a Japan made version of the Apo symmar. Any info would be helpful.

He's probably seen Made in Japan on the shutter.

the Symmar EX was the Japanese market version of the APO Symmar

Export version for Japan. Not made in Japan.

John, read in haste, do something or other else in leisure. Ian, assume in haste, do the same.

Member "David R Munson" recently offered such a lens in the classifieds here (see this (http://www.largeformatphotography.info/forum/showthread.php?p=1091154) thread).

It was my impression that the lens was not made in Japan but rather made for the Japanese market.

It is the very same lens.

Thanks for the info. I should have been more specific. The seller did say the lens is the APO symmar for the Japanese market . I wanted to confirm that the lens is an APO lens . It seems to be the same lens that was for sale by Mr Munson . It has the same flat spot on the rear element .
