Linhof Super Rollex & Kardan re

Can the Super Rollex back be attached directly to a Kardan re 4x5 camera or is there an adapter needed? The Operatig Instructions say it can be attached to Technikardan 6x9, M 679, Techno, Alpa or any international groundglass back or view cameras 9x12 cm / 4x5 inch. They however don't mention Linhof 4x5 cameras specifically. And while we are at it how is with the DaYi film holders?

Yes, as long as they are for 45 cameras. If they are for 69 cameras then you would have to replace the housing with the 45 housing.

Thanks Bob, I guess I need #1523 back to be able to shoot 6x9 cm roll on my 4x5 camera (I didn't know the backs differ in regard to whether they are for 45 or 23 cameras).

The outside shells differ. The film insert inside the shell are the same on both size roll backs.

I understand that now. It's that this is sometimes not clear on the SH market. But I can distinguish the types visually now.
