hello

A beginner asks:

Regarding the 210 APO Symmar lens and Copal 1, to disassemble the front and rear lenses from the shutter, is there a 'catch' that needs to be released before unscrewing the sections--or, simply turn until they come apart?

thank you!

Dean

ps: any informed commentary on its use with a 4x5 Speed Graphic--e.g., quality of results, tips on superior shots with this lens, etc., are gratefully received...

I have an older Symmar 5.6/15 in Compur 1 and it just unscrews, no catch. I doubt a Copal is any different.

I have one of these - mine simply screws apart by hand. I love this lens - best I've ever owned. The only bad thing I can say about it is if you have a collection of 35mm lenses, they'll never seem as nice once you see a well made picture with this lens.
