Wow... Five boxes of Polaroid 809 (http://www.ebay.ca/itm/301009333696?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1438.l2649) sold in less than 24 hours in eBay for $500/box or $33/shot if you prefer. Expired in 1996 so getting close to 20 years old. That and of course boxes of Type 55 regularly sell for $200 - $250 if they are fairly fresh.

Compared to those prices paying $200 for a box of 8x10 Impossible is looking like a downright bargain.

Not sure how much of a bargain IP film is ... especially if they recommend scanning it right away (as the image apparently is unstable). Is that still true?

They are constantly making improvements, they just (within the month) came out with another new and very stable integral film, it wouldn't surprise me if they quickly make stability improvements.

really looking forward to IP type 55. I've tried buying boxes from people here 3 times so far. couple hundred $ a box each time. All three times, the film was no good (pods were dry.. and all three times got the.. sorry.. i thought it was good.. response back). Since the sales were 'expired film.. buy at your own risk', i ate all 3 of the sales. A different person each time.. and pretty active participants.

ended up being a very expensive attempt at a project, that never happened.

bring on the IP!!

I've spoken to impossible, they said they will never be making type55, the machines to make them were destroyed before they could acquire them and wasn't cost effective to design a new one.

However there is an independent group working on "new55" that would have a pos/neg "Polaroid" that would work with the old 545 holders.

They are loosely affiliated with impossible somehow but not at all the same.

Just google new55 I'm sure you'll find the site.

Wow, $710 for one box of Polaroid 809 (http://www.ebay.ca/itm/190970634423?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1438.l2649&autorefresh=true)! This stuff is expired in 2008 so fairly fresh but there are no guarantees and no information offered on how it has been stored. That's almost $50 per image...
